Invest in your New Zealand lifestyle

New Zealand offers real opportunities for an exceptional lifestyle and a successful place to develop your business interests. Invest in New Zealand and you’re investing in:

Opportunities for lifestyle - Investors and entrepreneurs can have the best of both worlds, a sophisticated lifestyle in one of our urban centres, and easy access to some of the world’s most stunning landscapes.

Opportunities for innovation - New Zealand’s well-connected and fast-growing technology sector thrives on meeting global challenges, doing more with less and thinking differently. In 2018 New Zealand’s tech sector was worth $11 billion, with the majority ($8 billion) coming from technology export businesses. The highest growth sectors are FinTech (33.2%) and Software Solutions (20.3%), with 33.2% and 20.3% growth respectively (2018).

Opportunities for business - New Zealand shared the top ranking for ease of doing business in the 2020 World Bank Doing Business study. There are few restrictions on establishing, owning and operating a business here. And investors and entrepreneurs face relatively few regulations in New Zealand.

Stability and security - In a turbulent world, New Zealand stands out as a reassuringly sturdy beacon of economic, political and social stability. In 2019 we shared number one spot on Transparency International’s Corruption Perception Index measuring the trustworthiness and good functioning of public institutions like the police and judiciary. It is a low-risk, well-functioning environment for your investment.

A different style of education - Both academic and practical, skill-based achievements are valued in New Zealand. Young people are encouraged to be questioning - to see the bigger picture and be open minded in finding new ways of approaching things. Over 90% of parents in HSBC’s 2015 Expat Explorer survey say that the quality of New Zealand education is 'the same' or even 'better' (50% of respondents) than at home. Nearly 70% of them say their children are more confident and well-rounded from their time spent living in New Zealand.
