Citizens Advice Bureau provides free and confidential advice to new migrants. They take the time to listen to you and equip you with the information, options and support that fit your needs.

Come to CAB Christchurch's free information session where you will learn more about financial capability. You will hear about the following topics.

Information from Christchurch Budget Service:  

  • Sensible spending in the New Zealand context 
  • Meeting financial commitments to community and family, including remittances 
  • Paying for large expenses without getting into debt 

Information from Inland Revenue (IRD): 

  • Introduction to business and GST  
  • IRD’s automatic calculation process for income tax  
  • Online services 

Light lunch is provided.

Attendance certificate is provided.
