Is this visa right for me?

The answer is yes, if you:

• Want to establish a business – or become a 25% or greater shareholder in an existing business – in New Zealand
• Would like at some point to have the opportunity to apply for a resident visa in New Zealand.

Do I need to have a business operating now?

No.  Your application will be assessed on a number of points, including proof that you have relevant business experience and that you have a realistic business plan. 

How much money will I need to bring into New Zealand to qualify?

You’ll need to provide evidence you have enough capital to finance your business proposal as well as sufficient funds to provide for your accommodation and ongoing needs.

How long is this visa granted for?

Initially, 9 months but a further 27 months is granted once you have transferred your investment capital through the trading bank system and have established your business.

Are there any age restrictions for this visa?

No.
