FAQs

Is this visa right for me?
The answer is yes, if you:

  • Have at least NZ $1.5 million to invest over a four year period
  • Speak English
  • Plan on spending 40% (146 days) or more of each calendar year in New Zealand

What can I invest in?
You can invest in equity and/or bonds in New Zealand.
You are not able to invest in residential property or use bank deposits to qualify for this visa.

Are there other qualifications I need to meet for the Investor visa?
You also need to provide evidence of NZ$1 million in settlement funds and be ready to invest your funds within 12 months of obtaining the visa.

How long is the visa granted for?
This is a permanent visa, allowing mulitple entries into New Zealand.

Are there any age restrictions for this visa?
Yes, you must be under the age of 66 to apply for the Investor (Investor 2 Category) visa.
