Is this visa right for me?

The answer is yes, if you:

Own or are a substantial investor in a business in New Zealand
Have been self-employed in that business in New Zealand for at least two years
Have held a work visa under the Long Term Business category and have been operating your business for at least 24 months

Are there other qualifications I need to meet the Entrepreneur visa?

You must meet the minimum English language standards, and New Zealand’s health and character requirements. Minimum English standards required can be met if you pass the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a minimum band score of Level 4.

You will additionally need to show how your business is benefiting New Zealand; for instance, through employing or training staff, via export, or by promoting New Zealand’s economic growth in some way.
